Kendrick Lamar Lands His First #1 Single

K. DOT REACHES NEW CAREER MILESTONE

(AllHipHop News) For many Hip Hop fans Kendrick Lamar has already released back-to-back classic albums with good kid, m.A.A.d. city and To Pimp A Butterfly. The latter LP was also his first #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, and K. Dot has now scored his first #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as well.

Kendrick appears as a guest feature on the single version of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.” The track landed in the pole position on the Hot 100, making it the first time the TDE rapper is credited on the top record in the country.

Previously, Kendrick peaked at #8 as part of the posse cut “F*ckin’ Problems” by A$AP Rocky. “Swimming Pools (Drank)” holds the record for Kendrick’s best showing on the Hot 100 as a lead artist. The song reached as high as 17.
