Tracy Morgan Breaks Silence One Year After Near Fatal Car Crash (VIDEO)

THE COMEDIAN GIVES HIS FIRST INTERVIEW SINCE THE SIX-CAR CRASH THAT ALMOST TOOK HIS LIFE

Tracy Morgan did his first televised appearance since his near-fatal six-car accident last year. He sat down with Matt Lauer on the Today Show and discussed his the emotional ups-and-downs of his recovery.

Morgan says that his family has been “keeping his spirits up” through this rough time but he is still grieving the loss of his longtime friend James McNair, who died after the crash.

“The case is settled, but the pain is always gonna be there for Jimmy Mack,” he said. “He was a close friend of mine, a comrade in comedy, he was a loving man. He was a warm man. He was a good man, and it just hurts me to see that he’s gone. That’s it.”

The 46-year-old comedian settled a lawsuit against Wal-Mart last week. It was a driver of a Wal-Mart truck who was driving 20 mph over the speed limit and struck the limo bus that Morgan, McNair and others were riding in that caused the accident.
