THE PHILLY EMCEE CHOPS IT UP WITH MIKEY T THE MOVIE STAR

(AllHipHop News) “Roc-A-Fella forever” was once a mantra for Jay Z and Dame Dash’s record label. The imprint responsible for releasing records by Jay, Kanye West, Cam’ron, Beanie Sigel, Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz (Young Chris, Neef Buck), and others eventually split up.

Neef Buck sat down with Mikey T The Movie Star to discuss those final days of the Roc team. The Philadelphia rapper explained his personal situation involving Roc-A-Fella and its parent company Def Jam.

“We got ourselves out of Def Jam, because we were still on Def Jam even when Jay did his own thing with Roc Nation,” stated Neef. “Chris had a situation that he wanted to do with Rico Love at the time, and I wasn’t doing too much music. He came to me saying he wanted to get out of the contract with Def Jam, and he needed me to sign off.”

Neef agreed to allow Young Chris to break from Def Jam, but he admitted that if they were to reunite to do another Young Gunz project, Def Jam would still make money off the group. He also talked about creating their debut album Tough Luv.
