J. Cole Earns First Million Selling Album With ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’

THE ROC NATION EMCEE REACHES A NEW CAREER MILESTONE

(AllHipHop News) Roc Nation emcee J. Cole’s most recent album 2014 Forest Hills Drive had already reached certified platinum status (based on unit shipments), but now the LP has crossed the one million mark in actual sales. This is the first time in Cole’s career he has earned a million selling album.

For the week ending September 3, FHD sold an additional 6,000 copies. Its total currently sits at 1.004 million. The North Carolina native’s 2011 LP Cole World: The Sideline Story has sold 772,000, and 2013’s Born Sinner has sold 747,000.

Cole joins Drake as the only rappers to have projects that have sold at least 1 million units over the last year. Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late is the only album to sell one million copies during this calendar year. 2014 Forest Hills Drive was released December 2014.
