2 Live Crew’s Uncle Luke Says He Invented “Parental Advisory” Sticker

2 LIVE CREW: UNCLE LUKE TALKS NEW BOOK AND FOUNDING SOUTHERN HIP-HOP

Back in the day 2 Live Crew’s music was as controversial as it gets. Their music was so crazy and so sexually charged that authorities wanted to stop their music from coming out and things ended up going all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States.  Eventually As Nasty As They Want To Be was deemed safe for sale and it peaked at #29 on the Billboard 200 and number 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart.   A few Canadian retailers were even arrested for selling the project, but it went down in history as one of the most controversial projects ever. Find out what Luke has to say about the experience and being one of the founders of Southern Hip-Hop as he sits down with VladTV on the cusp of releasing his new book.
