Sometimes, you just have to throw a middle finger to the haters, fill up your cup, and not give a f*ck—at least, that’s the advice passionately delivered by the Los Angeles by way of North Carolina-based rapper, Fluent on his latest drop, “Getting Paid.”
The bass-heavy loosie kicks off with a blunted opening verse from guest Yung L.A., an Atlanta-repping spitter who serves as the laid-back counterpart to Fluent’s hype, direct approach in the booth.
