Nas Curates ‘Ghostbusters’ Inspired Fashion Collection

WHO YA GONNA CALL?

(AllHipHop News)   Thirty years after the original Ghostbusters movie took the supernatural world by storm, director Paul Feig is back at it again with an all female Ghostbuster’s crew.

In support of this Summer’s Ghostbusters movie, Nas is collaborating with Sony Pictures Consumer Marketing for a new fashion collection.

According to a statement to the press, Nas is a huge Ghostbusters fan and as such curated the collection with high-profile and upscale brands of his choice.

“Ghostbusters was a staple childhood movie for me, one my mother took me to see, and I still love watching today with my son,” Nas explained.

The launch kicks off this Spring and looks to suit up consumers from head to toe with six brands.

Hypebeast.com will exclusively drop the Nas x Ghostbusters collection  with a “Behind the Scenes” video and a “LookBook” featuring Nas modeling the clothes.

Nas’ personal clothing line, HSTRY, New Era hats, FILA footwear, Monster headphones, Italia Independent eyewear and Tokyobike are all included in the collection.

The HSTRY x Ghostbusters  collection will feature several premium graphic tees, joggers and also outerwear.

Select New Era hats will feature a play on Nas’ famed lyrics, including “Slime State of Mind.” The caps are set to go on sale via NewEraCap.com and at New Era locations in Japan and Europe.

The Monster headphones are called the  “Nas x Ghostbusters Elements Platinum Limited Edition” wireless on-ear headphones and ClarityHD in-ear headphones.

The headphones, developed in collaboration with Nas’ fashion label, will feature a platinum finish and white padded headband with the Ghostbusters logo emblazoned within its white ear cups.

In addition to the aforementioned locations, the clothing will be sold at Ron Herman stores, and a launch event will be hosted by Nas at the flagship Ron Herman store on Melrose in Los Angeles, CA on May 14.

According to Sony’s statement to the press, the original car along with other memorable movie items will be on display at the Ron Herman launch.
