After the fiasco of a possible unfaithful love triangle between Kehlani, Party Next Door, and basketball player Kyrie Irving, and a suicide attempt posted on social media, Kehlani seems to have been on an emotional roller coaster. And she hasn’t said much in response to all the controversy. But she premiered a new hair do this week, in which she cut off her dark locks, and transformed into a short, sleek honey blonde. So maybe the haircut gave her the liberation she needed after all of this.
In this latest song, produced by DZL, she shares deep messages and emotions. It seems like shes not holding anything back for anyone, and she encourages “it’s alright to not be alright to search for your light.”
