Drakes Disses Rappers Making “Fake Controllas” (VIDEO)

DID DRIZZY FIRE SHOTS AT TORY LANEZ & TYGA?

(AllHipHop News) Drake and Future opened their “Summer Sixteen Tour” last night in Austin, Texas. The biggest news from Drake’s initial set is him seemingly taking shots at Tory Lanez and Tyga.

“All you boys doing fake ‘Controllas’ wanna be me a little?” rapped Drake.

The line was taken as a response to Lanez’s version of “Controlla” and Tyga’s “1 Of 1” single. Both rappers have had issues with the OVO leader in the past.

Lanez was accused of dissing Drake at various times over the last few years. Tyga had a highly publicized feud with Drake, but the conflict was reportedly settled thanks to Kanye West.

Drake has also been accused of taking from other artist’s musical style. Last year, Virginia artist D.R.A.M. posted a tweet saying the Views album creator jacked his “Cha Cha” Song for “Hotline Bling.

The connection between the two songs was confirmed by Drake in an interview with Fader. There have been other examples of Drake borrowing from various rappers as well.

“You know, like in Jamaica, you’ll have a riddim and it’s like, everyone has to do a song on that,” stated Drake at the time. “Imagine that in rap, or imagine that in R&B. Imagine if we got one beat and every single person – me, this guy, this guy, all these guys – had to do a song on that one beat… And that’s kind of what ‘Hotline Bling’ was. And I loved it. It’s cool. I’ve been excited by that sort of creative process.”
