WorldStarHipHop Facing Lawsuit From Rapper Over Leaked Sex Tape

KHAOTIC WANTS MONEY FROM Q FOR INVASION OF PRIVACY AND DEFAMATION

(AllHipHop News) WorldStarHipHop has been hit with a lawsuit from rapper Rubin “Khaotic” McFadden.

According to a press release from attorney Richard Wolfe, the Miami area performer is suing the website for invasion of privacy, defamation, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

WorldStar posted a 45-second video of McFadden and female acquaintance Nina Allimpic engaged in consensual sexual acts in a private bedroom.

The lawsuit claims the video received more than 350,000 views and numerous other websites/media outlets picked up the video posted on WSHH.

“My clients had no intention of the video being released to the public,” said Wolfe. “My clients have no knowledge on how the defendants obtained the video, as the video was only stored on McFadden’s personal cellular phone.”

This litigation follows the highly publicized case involving Terry “Hulk Hogan” Bollea winning $115 million in compensatory damages and $25 million in punitive damages from Gawker Media for posting the pro wrestler’s sex tape.

Gawker was forced to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and put itself up for auction.

The McFadden/Allimpic video has since been removed from WorldStar. However, Khaotic asserts the unauthorized posting and dissemination of the video fostered an unfavorable public perception of him.

“My client has devoted a substantial amount of time and effort developing his career, reputation, and brand,” said Wolfe. “These efforts have created considerable commercial value in his name image, identity, and persona.”

The plaintiffs are seeking a jury trial to award compensation of damages in excess of $15,000. WorldStarHipHop and its owner Lee “Q” ODenat are named as defendants in the lawsuit filed in Miami-Dade Circuit Court.
