YG’s 4Hunnid Records Signs Joint Venture With Interscope

THE COMPTON RAPPER MAKES A MAJOR MOVE AS A MUSIC EXECUTIVE

(AllHipHop News) Keenon “YG” Jackson adds another layer to his moves into the music executive realm.

Billboard reports the Compton rapper’s 4Hunnid Records has signed a multi-million dollar deal with Interscope Records. The joint venture came together over a year ago.

“I’m the CEO and creative director so my sh-t I do on a daily basis is I get on n-ggas’ bumpers about sh-t. [Laughs],” said YG. “I get on everybody ass like I just oversee everybody’s marketing plan, rollout plan, the goals we trying to accomplish, the touring, all that type of sh-t. I’m making sure it happen in a timely fashion and I’m doing my thing as an artist.”

As an artist, the Def Jam signee has released two well-received studio albums – My Krazy Life and Still Brazy. As an exec, YG is pushing his “Blacks & Browns” collaborator Sad Boy.

“YG has an unbelievable eye for talent and an innate understanding of what people want to hear,” said John Janick, chairman and CEO of Interscope Geffen A&M.
