Rapper Common Endorses Hillary; Says Trump’s Election Will Bring Out Racism Only Seen During “Slave Days”

COMMON SAYS TRUMP WILL RETURN AMERICA TO SLAVERY!

(AllHipHop News) Over the past few days, Donald Trump has been attempting to reboot his campaign in an effort to win votes before the November presidential elections.

Trump recently booted his campaign manager Paul Manafort in favor of Kellyanne Conway and Breitbart’s executive chairman Steve Bannon.

As part of his new efforts to woo voters, Trump has specifically reached out to African-Americans, in an attempt to gain their support.

“No group in America has been more harmed by Hillary Clinton’s policies than African-Americans,” Trump spouted during a stop in Dimondale, Michigan last week.

“You’re living in poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58% of your youth is unemployed — what the hell do you have to lose?” Donald Trump reasoned to African-American voters, in front of a predominantly white crowd.

Despite Trump’s 180-degree turn, rapper Common has zero faith in The Donald or the billionaire’s vision for America.

In fact, if Trump’s election could bring back a new level of racism that hasn’t been seen since slavery, according to Common.

“America wouldn’t be taking a step back… we’d be taking 12 steps back,” Common told Newsweek. “It would be returning to some of the mentality of racism we’ve seen in the mid-Sixties, in the civil rights era. It would be returning to some of the actual racism that existed in slave days.”

Common said he is putting his trust in Hillary Clinton, because electing Trump will usher in a “dark” time period in America.

“My hopes and beliefs are that Hillary Clinton can be elected. I feel like having a woman as president is needed at this point,” Common said. “Let’s bring new energy into it…I’m speaking up for Hillary because we can’t allow Trump to get into office. That’s not acceptable.”
