Chris Brown Says He Will Be Vindicated: “My Character’s Been Defaced”

CHRIS BROWN WILL BE VINDICATED

(AllHipHop News) Chris Brown’s attorney is confident the singer will be cleared of threatening a model with a gun, because his home security footage shows no evidence of the alleged encounter.

The “Loyal” hitmaker was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon a week ago, hours after Baylee Curran called police and accused Brown of pulling a gun on her during a party at his Tarzana, California home.

In subsequent media interviews, Curran claimed she was ordered to leave the singer’s mansion after she was spotted admiring a piece of diamond jewelry.

Chris protested his innocence in a series of Instagram videos prior to his arrest, and after posting bail, the 27-year-old declared “the world will see” his version of events in due time.

Brown has since released a new clip to ABC News, which aired on Tuesday, in which he declares:

“I cannot wait ’til the truth comes to light about this incident and this situation. You know, because my character’s been defaced and who I am as a person and my integrity. I’m glad that all my real supporters know me, and know the truth and they’ll see the truth.”

His attorney, Mark Geragos, has also been blasting the “demonstrably false” allegations, and he now tells ABC News police found no firearms or jewelry as Curran had described.

“There was a search that was done (by detectives),” he explained. “They went in, and said they had a description of the piece of jewelry. (It was) not found in the house. They went in (looking for) a gun; (it was) not found in the house.”

He maintains there was no video evidence of the reported altercation on any of Brown’s surveillance cameras throughout his pad, adding of the CCTV footage, “There’s no Chris Brown waving a gun. No Baylee looking at a box of jewelry.”

Geragos also shared a text message reportedly sent by Curran to a friend vowing to set the star up shortly before she called cops.

The purported message read:

“This freak Chris Brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend’s jewelry fake… I’m going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson. I’m going to set his a** up.”

Curran’s representative insists the text is a fake.
Geragos also believes authorities will drop the case ahead of Brown’s arraignment hearing on 20 September due to a lack of evidence.
