Kodak Black Sent To South Carolina To Answer Sexual Assault Charges

KODAK BLACK STILL NOT OUT OF TROUBLE

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Kodak Black was released from a jail in St. Lucie, Florida yesterday (November 28) and is now in South Carolina, where he will answer a sexual assault charge.

Kodak was originally busted in Ft. Lauderdale on charges that included robbery, false imprisonment, fleeing a law enforcement officer, and possession of a firearm by a delinquent.

In August, Kodak reached a plea deal in that case and avoided 55 years in prison, and he was put on house arrest for a year and probation for five years.

The rapper was jammed up again in St. Lucie that same month, when warrants were issued for possession of cannabis and he was subsequently sentenced to 120 days in jail.

Now, Kodak is heading to Florence, South Carolina, where the 19-year-old rapper has been accused of sexual battery in an incident that occurred in February at a local hotel.

“We are firmly convinced that he will be vindicated in that charge and shortly be set free,” said Kodak’s attorney Gary Kollin, based in Fort Lauderdale. “He’s looking forward to getting to South Carolina so he can go on with his life and career.”

If he’s found guilty in the sexual assault case, Kodak Black could be sentenced to as many as 30 years in prison.
