(AllHipHop News) Some observers were surprised Travis Scott’s Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight did not receive any Grammy nominations.
Scott spoke with XXL about getting snubbed by the Recording Academy.
“When the nomination list came out, I was just kinda like, ‘Man, we not on here nowhere to be found.’ It was like, Is my album non-existent?'” said Scott.
Chance The Rapper (Coloring Book), De La Soul (and the Anonymous Nobody…), Drake (Views), ScHoolboy Q (Blank Face LP), Kanye West (The Life of Pablo), and DJ Khaled (Major Key) will compete in the Best Rap Album category.
Scott appeared on Major Key, and he worked on Grammy-nominated projects by Rihanna and Justin Bieber.
“But for your own music, you want it to be your own vibe,” added the Houston representative.
