Nick Grant Makes Network TV Debut On ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ (VIDEO)

THE RISING SOUTHERN EMCEE TAPS WATCH THE DUCK FOR LATE NIGHT PERFORMANCE

(AllHipHop News) 2017 may go down as the year Nick Grant elevated himself to the next tier in the Hip Hop hierarchy.

Grant made waves online last year with his 88 mixtape which featured appearances by Killer Mike, Big K.R.I.T., and Young Dro.

The South Carolina-bred, Atlanta-based rhymer started off the new year with his latest project.

Return Of The Cool was released last week, and Grant helped promote the collection by making his network television debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

N.G. performed a medley of “Love” And “Get Up” with southern group Watch The Duck.

With the support of Grand Hustle co-founder Jason Geter and his Culture Republic brand, Grant is a very early contender for “rookie of the year.”

Hip Hop insiders are already lining up behind the rising entertainer.

Ludacris, DJ Khaled, and Charlamagne Tha God each posted the Return Of The Cool artwork to their respective Instagram pages.

Newcomers to the N.G. movement should not be surprised by what appears to be a meteoric rise, because Nick has been planning to add his name to the rap pantheon for years.

Back in 2015, the #ATLRiseUp alumni told AllHipHop.com about his ultimate legacy, “Twenty years in the game, being iconic, and having over five classic albums. I feel like the greatest rappers have at least five classic albums that you can play from top to bottom. It’s just about having a dope career and people respecting you. If you’re not going to be great, why bother?”
