(AllHipHop News) Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd are still flying high from the success of the group’s #1 single “Black Beatles.”
While the record still maintains a Top 3 position on the Hot 100 chart, Jxmmi is working to launch other acts under the Rae Sremmurd umbrella with the Sremm Life Crew.
“Sremm Life Crew is a label. It’s a Mississippi label,” he explained to DJ Smallz. “It’s going to be big. It’s going to be massive. It’s a way for people where I’m from to get heard, people from a lot of places to get heard. It’s a work in progress.”
Jxmmi and his brother Swae Lee are originally from Tupelo, Mississippi.
The EarDrummers representatives are now based in Atlanta.
The roster of Sremm Life Crew is currently made up of close associates/family members, but Jxmmi is looking for a female artist to add to the label.
“I’m looking for a dope female, but the thing is, it’s not really about looks,” added the rhymer. “I really like music, so I’m looking for… I hope I run into the next Erykah Badu or the next something crazy that I can’t take my mind off.”
