(AllHipHop News) James Laurence has passed away at the age of 27, according to Fact.
The California native was one half of the Hip Hop production duo Friendzone.
Laurence, along with Dylan Reznick, produced A$AP Rocky’s “Fashion Killa” off the Harlem rapper’s debut studio album Long. Live. ASAP.
Friendzone crafted tracks for Deniro Farrar, Main Attrakionz, Antwon, and Yung Lean as well.
Their sound became known as “cloud rap.”
Besides producing for other acts, Friendzone dropped projects like their 2013 LP DX.
Laurence and Reznick also released an EP and numerous mixtapes.
As of press time, Laurence’s cause of death has not been revealed.
