Schoolboy Q Talks Creating The Follow-Up To His ‘Blank Face LP’ Album

“I JUST WANT TO GIVE PEOPLE A WHOLE DIFFERENT SIDE OF ME”

(AllHipHop News) At the end of 2016, Schoolboy Q revealed he is in the process of releasing a new album this year.

The TDE emcee spoke with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe about the follow-up project to the Grammy-nominated Blank Face LP.

“On this record, it’s more so my life after I made it to the point of Schoolboy Q,” said the Los Angeles raised rapper. “Like I gave you me, but I never gave you the other side of me – the father, the dude that’s actually happy, the dude that doesn’t be in the hood just hanging out, the dude that’s trying to put his homie in position now.”

He added, “I just want to give people a whole different side of me.”

Q’s discography also includes the projects Setbacks, Habits & Contradictions, and Oxymoron.

Blank Face LP is up for Best Rap Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.
