Grandmaster Melle Mel and Grandmaster Caz Building A Studio For Next Generation In The Bronx

MELLE MEL AND CAZ DO THE RIGHT THING!

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop pioneers Grandmaster Caz and Grandmaster Melle Mel took over a Bronx elementary school last week, as principals.

The two founding fathers of Hip-Hop pulled double duty, as rappers and heads of Community School 55, in their hometown of the South Bronx earlier this week.

The legendary rappers mentored the children during their time at Community School 55, but they are doing considerably more than talking, to advance the students.

Caz and Melle Mel are board members Windows of Hip-Hop.

They will help with the construction of a state-of-the-art recording studio in the school, in conjunction the organization.

“We will be able to edit music, record music and really take our students to a whole new level,” said Community 55’s Principal, Luis Torres.

The students at the Community 55 elementary school are extremely excited to have the recording studio, in addition to having the chance to work with Grandmaster Caz and Grandmaster Melle Mel.

The studio at Community 55 is slated to open later this year.
