Ice-T & Treach Defend Snoop Dogg’s Video Featuring A Gun Pointed At Donald Trump

DID SNOOP GO TOO FAR? OR IS HE JUST BEING ARTISTIC?

(AllHipHop News) Snoop Dogg found himself facing some backlash for imagery in his new “Lavender” video.

The clip features the Hip Hop legend pointing a toy gun at a clown dressed like Donald Trump.

Two fellow rap veterans are backing Snoop up on his right to artistic expression.

“It’s basically him saying everybody’s a clown, including Trump, which I think we all agree. The part where he points the gun at the president is against the law. You gotta know that,” Ice-T says into a camera. “You can’t kill the president. But I think he pushed the line.”

Treach of Naughty By Natures said, “It was a confetti gun. When he shoots everything out, nobody got shot. Confetti came out. It’s artistic.”

“It was artistic,” Ice-T added.

The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star also suggested Trump is open to being ridiculed because he gives his critics so much material to make fun of.

In addition, Treach questioned why the Trump “shooting” is a problem but there is no widespread objection to black-on-black violence in music videos.

“That’s not threatening to nobody?” asked the “Hip Hop Hooray” rapper.
