Tupac Memorabilia Auction To Move Forward Despite Lawsuit Threat From Afeni Shakur Estate

THE BLACK HERITAGE AUCTION TO ALSO FEATURE ITEMS FROM PRES OBAMA, MLK, MUHAMMAD ALI & MANY MORE

(AllHipHop News) It appears the estate of the late Afeni Shakur wants to halt the sale of her son’s memorabilia.

However, TMZ reports the suit is not stopping the Black Heritage Auction from moving forward with auctioning off items once owned by Tupac Shakur.

Alexander Historical Auctions is ready to sell 39 2Pac pieces including handwritten lyrics and jewelry.

A representative for the auction house believes the collectibles were obtained legally, but Afeni Shakur Estate attorneys argue differently.

Alexander Historical Auctions is scheduled to conduct the live Black Heritage Auction of Tupac items in Brooklyn on April 7, the same day the Hip Hop icon will become the first solo rap act to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

Some of the memorabilia being presented include an “All Eyez On Me” lyric sheet and a gold diamond-encrusted medallion said to be worn by Pac at the time of his fatal 1996 shooting.

Items from President Barack Obama, Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Frederick Douglass, Miles Davis, Nelson Mandela, Muhammad Ali, Colin Powell, John Coltrane, Marian Anderson, and others are set to be available at the Black Heritage Auction as well.
