Kanye West’s ‘The Life of Pablo’ Makes History By Going Platinum

CONGRATS GO OUT TO YEEZY

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has earned his eighth career platinum album.

The RIAA reports Ye’s 2016 project, The Life Of Pablo, has surpassed the one million equivalent album units mark.

TLOP joins The College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, 808s & Heartbreak, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Watch the Throne (with Jay Z), and Yeezus as plat plaque earners.

According to the Chicago rhymer’s Def Jam label, The Life Of Pablo is the first streaming-only album to go platinum.

In April 2016, Kanye’s seventh solo studio LP became the first album to reach #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart off mostly streaming numbers.

TLOP debuted on the chart by collecting 94,000 equivalent album units with approximately 28,000 units from pure sales.
