Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter V” Springs More Leaks Thanks To “Pharmabro”

NEW LIL WAYNE TRACKS LEAKED ONLINE

(AllHipHop News) Two more songs from Lil Wayne’s long-delayed Tha Carter V album have been leaked online by controversial pharmaceutical mogul Martin Shkreli.

The “Lollipop” hitmaker shelved the new material indefinitely in 2015 after becoming embroiled in a legal dispute with his former mentor and Cash Money Records boss Bryan ‘Baby’ Williams, but in December, Shkreli claimed to have obtained a copy of the held-up release, and proceeded to tease a music clip online.

Wayne’s representatives reportedly tracked down Shkreli to confront him about the incident, and earlier this year, he allegedly promised not to share any further tracks from the project.

However, he appeared to break that vow on Wednesday (May 3), when he live streamed himself listening to two other cuts from Tha Carter V – one called “Mona Lisa,” which features a guest appearance by Kendrick Lamar, and the other titled “The Life of Carter.”

Wayne, who is currently on tour, has yet to comment on the latest leak.

He began recording tracks for Tha Carter V in 2011, but its official release remains in limbo as Wayne is still locked in a $51 million lawsuit against Williams, who has allegedly been withholding money he is owed for the long-awaited project.
