Big Boi’s Camp Pushes Back Against Claims The Rapper Bailed On Georgia Concert

A PROMOTER IS CONSIDERING SUING THE OUTKAST MEMBER FOR $40K

(AllHipHop News) A promoter has accused Big Boi of taking a $40,000 deposit without showing up to the concert, according to TMZ.

The website reports:

James Griffin tells TMZ he booked the Outkast rapper for $80k to headline his Freaknik festival in Sylvania, GA and wired half the fee to his manager.

About 20 days out, James says Big Boi’s manager complained about the rest of the lineup and mentioned the rapper might not show if other big artists didn’t join the bill. James says he booked rapper Dae Dae just to make them happy.

A flyer for The 2017 Freaknik shows the festival was supposedly planned for April 29, 2017.

Big Boi’s camp apparently informed Griffin the OutKast member would not perform unless the date of the event was changed.

They are said to be looking to make up the performance at a later date.

Griffin is reportedly not interested in a re-do, and he is considering suing the Atlanta-based rapper for the $40,000 advance.

Big is currently preparing to release his third solo LP.

The Boomiverse album is expected to feature Gucci Mane, Killer Mike, Jeezy, Travis Scott, Kurupt, Janelle Monáe, and Adam Levine.
