Killer Mike: I Would Have Punched Bill Maher In His Stomach For N-Word Joke (VIDEO)

THE RAPPER STILL SUPPORTS THE COMEDIAN’S FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper Killer Mike was one of the few black celebrities to defend Bill Maher referring to himself as a “house n-gger” on his Real Time show.

“He makes, Jewish, religious, sexists, political, fat and many other jokes. That’s his job. Not always funny but that is what comedians do,” tweeted Mike after the controversy exploded over the weekend.

The Run The Jewels member further explained he supports Maher’s First Amendment right to express himself.

Many Twitter users strongly disagreed with Mike’s position, and his name began trending on the social media platform in response.

TMZ caught up with Killer Mike following the online negative reaction to his tweets.

“I would’ve punched Bill in his stomach and said, ‘You sound stupid.’ And we would’ve smoked a joint after,” said Mike. “Because that’s what you do when your white friend does that when you’re 13 and he gets a little too comfortable and says it. You punch your friend in the stomach.”

The Dungeon Family affiliate repeated his belief in the First Amendment, but he also acknowledged Maher’s critics can use their constitutional right to protest the comedian.

“If people want to protest him, fine, I support it. If people want to call for his job, do what you want to do,” Mike expressed. “As for me, I am not going to start limiting entertainers in what they can say, because when you start doing that, you’re painting yourself in a corner and you’re going to make sure your First Amendment rights are one day going to be out the door, and we really are going to live in a fascist country.”

Killer Mike appeared as a panelist on the May 12th episode of Real Time with Bill Maher.

He has been a guest on the show several times in recent years.
