(AlHipHop News) After several Hip Hop themed biographical motion pictures have hit theaters and television, yet another biopic is on the way.
Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell and his 2 Live Crew group will be the subject of a movie based on the memoir Book Of Luke: My Fight For Truth, Justice And Liberty City.
According to Deadline, RJ Cyler (War Machine) will star as Campbell.
The film centers around the Miami Base rapper’s rise in music and his participation in the Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc. Supreme Court case.
Craig A. Williams is writing the script for Book Of Luke.
2 Live Crew released numerous albums including As Nasty As They Wanna Be, Banned in the U.S.A., and Sports Weekend.
Luke’s solo discography features the records “I Wanna Rock,” “It’s Your Birthday” and “Scarred.”
