Troy Ave & Casanova React To Taxstone Getting Indicted For Murder In Irving Plaza Shooting

(AllHipHop News) Daryl “Taxstone” Campbell was formally indicted for second-degree murder this week.

Taxstone is being accused of killing Ronald McPhatter, the bodyguard of Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave.

The violent incident took place at a 2016 T.I. headlining concert at New York City’s Irving Plaza.

Not long after the news of the Tax Season podcast host’s indictment became public, Troy Ave posted what appears to be a reaction to the situation.

The Nupac creator uploaded a video of himself dancing by an outdoor pool.

He wrote in the vid’s caption:

enjoying life & freedom 🤣 rich man backyard or jumpin off a yacht $horts …. who sings this song tho “ring my bell” 🎶 I might sample it for the #AlbumOfTheSummer

Troy Ave rival and Taxstone associate Casanova 2x provided a more blatant response to his friend’s current legal circumstance.

On two separate IG posts, Casanova wrote:

DONT GIVE A F-CK WHAT NO BODY SAY.YOUR GONNA BEAT THIS GODS GOTTA A PLAN FOR YOU.ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE YOU F-CK THE OTHERS WHO TRY.LOVE AND MISS YOU N-GGA!!! TOUGH TIMES DONT LAST LONG ONLY TOUGH PEOPLE DO!!AND YOUR ONE OF THE TOUGHEST BELIEVE THAT!!

have no regrets. Life tore us apart but I’m glad I had the chance to call you my friend and brother.I know that miles and distance don’t matter in friendship. But who’s going to explain that to my heart cause it’s bleeding for you beloved.I miss you miss you n-gga you will be good no matter what

Prosecutors believe Taxstone brought the gun that killed Ronald McPhatter into Irving Plaza.

His DNA was reportedly discovered on the 9-millimeter Kel-Tec semi-automatic handgun.

A lawyer for the podcaster told Billboard, “We intend to fight these charges and he maintains his innocence.”

Last month, Tax pled guilty to possessing a firearm as a felon and receiving a firearm in interstate commerce.

The 31-year-old Brooklyn native is facing up to 20 years in federal prison in that case.
