The Hot 97 deejay had some fans of the Grammy-winning Hip Hop group thinking a reunion between Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Pras Michel was taking place.
Lauryn and Wyclef took to Twitter to respond to Funk Flex playing the Fugees song on the radio.
“The ‘new’ Fugees song is indeed an old track played around with back in the day in the lab,” wrote Hill. “Not sure who leaked it, but I have my suspicions.”
Wyclef offered his tweet about the matter, “To all my fugees fans, the song leaked today is a [sic] old one from past studio days. I don’t endorse it in anyway [sic] and had no clue it was coming.”
The 1990’s Hip Hop trio released two studio albums – Blunted on Reality and The Score.
