Meek Mill Talks Confronting DJ Akademiks & Responding To Trick Daddy (VIDEO)

THE DREAMCHASERS LEADER HAS SOME WORDS FOR BLOGGERS AND THE ENTIRE RAP INDUSTRY

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill sat down with his home city’s radio station, Power 99, to talk about numerous topics.

While promoting his Wins & Losses album, Meek also had some words for critical media figures, in particular, DJ Akademiks.

“We need some fly bloggers. Because most of these bloggers, they on these blogs speaking on our culture and they don’t know anything about it. Some of them got influence,” said the Dreamchasers leader. “You might see Akademiks’ page. They post everybody’s album. They ain’t gonna post no Meek Mill album.”

Akademiks’ main Instagram page features posts about recent album releases by Tyler, The Creator as well as Nav & Metro Boomin.

The YouTube creator did not upload IG content covering Meek’s Wins & Losses which debuted on the same day as Flower Boy and Perfect Timing.

Meek stated, “They ain’t posting my album. When we see them, we’ll have a little talk about it. It’s the game.”

The Philly-bred rhymer also used his time speaking with Cosmic Kev to respond to Trick Daddy “banning” him from Miami over his comments from a previous Hot 97 interview.

“I come from Philadelphia, all our OGs, they don’t get on Instagram where we’re from. If they wanna say something to somebody, they get in contact with them and they say it to them. Especially when it’s that type of level of anger,” said Meek. “I worked hard on this album. I don’t think you should be able to go on Instagram and just rant and go crazy and then be mentioned in an interview.”

He added, “I’m trying to win. I ain’t really trying to talk about negativity. What I always say is… everybody in the industry knows there’s only one way to handle Meek Mill when you see him. This is for everybody in the rap industry – from here on till a thousand years – when you see people flip out on the internet about me, I will always be handled with respect in live person. That’s just that.”
