Tay-K has a new mugshot making the rounds, and somehow the conversation has already turned into rumors.
The Texas rapper’s current projected release date is all the way in 2099. The updated image shows a more mature Tay-K. This man is years removed from the teenager that had a viral hit called “The Race.” Remember, he was on the run at that time.
There is no official announcement that Tay-K is getting out anytime soon. None.

There are always appeals, sentence modifications, legal reforms, and other developments that can make a conviction change. Whether Tay-K’s situation could eventually change is anybody’s guess. Could Trump do it?
We are way off from that “could happen someday” and “is happening now.” That man is in jail for the worst crime.
He was involved in the 2016 killing of Ethan Walker during a home invasion robbery in Mansfield, Texas. Prosecutors said Tay-K participated in the robbery, but did not do the ultimate deed. Not the triggerman, he was still convicted of murder under Texas law and sentenced to 55 years in prison. That was 2019. He’s been in hardcore prison for 7 years.
The updated mugshot has reminds us of one of Hip-Hop’s most cautionary tales. I hope they remember him. For us, seeing the new image serves as a reminder of just how much time has passed. It really moves fast.
