After years of

producing almost exclusively for Mobb Deep and a select few artists, rapper/producer Havoc has teamed with noted

producer The Alchemist to create a new production company, The Quiet Storm.

"I just finished

new joints for Pharaoh Monch, Styles P., Cypress Hill and Mobb’s new album,"

The Alchemist revealed to AllHipHop.com.

The Alchemist is

also completing his debut album, The 1st Infantry. In order to promote

the album, The Alchemist dropped a mixtape, Insomnia.

"The mixtape

features Nas, Mobb Deep, D Block and others that nobody got yet to promote the

album," Alchemist said.

The Alchemist said

his debut album would not be a departure from the sound that he has become famous

for producing.

"I think a

lot of big artists wish they could deliver an album like mine, but they fall

victim to industry pressure and end up making music thats out of their character,"

The Alchemist continued. "The album features the entire Mobb Deep family,

D-Block, G-Unit, Soul Assassins, Devin the Dude and others."

The mixtape, Insomnia

is out now, while The 1st Infantry hits stores in March.
