Comedian Marlon Wayans is on a journey to make his first name as big as his last, with his latest venture being the film 'Fifty Shades Of Black.' He not only stars in the comedic film; he produced it as well. The film is an outrageously funny comedic spin on the popular romance film 'Fifty Shades of Grey.' Wayans sought out to place a comical spin on the film from the African-American perspective.
Wayans shot 'Fifty Shades Of Black' over the course of 20 days with a $5 million budget; '50 Shades Of Grey' was shot with a $75 million budget. In regards to casting, Wayans explained that they found a great casting director in Lisa Beach, but ultimately it was God who cast the film.
Wayans expressed his enthusiasm about working with other comedians in the film, as it always leaves room for amazing improvisation.
