(AllHipHop Features) Iroc Daniels. Remember the name. The Arizona-based film maker has stepped far into the forefront of independent film making to create “The System.” The move offers dissimilar, but intermingled versions of police brutality after a police officer suffering from recurring post-traumatic stress disorder murders a Black child that happens to be deaf. The father of the deaf boy ponders a vigilante life in retaliation for the killing of his son at the hands of the police. What takes place in this film is an intricate tale of racism, inter-community friction and calamity in political, judicial and prison systems.
AllHipHop’s Chuck Creekmur sat down with Iroc Daniels to explore the weighty topic in the movie, as well as his extended roots in Hip-Hop.
