Cape Verdean American recording artist June Freedom debuts his eccentric and impassioned digital promo single “Hell to Heart” — via Fight Club Music Group.
It is the artist’s long overdue gift for those who have rooted for him throughout his musical journey, regularly appealing for the original music June frequently teases in his Instagram Stories.
Therefore, Hell to Heart is sincerely personal to June:
“I wrote this song during a time when my relationship was struggling.
She didn’t deserve what I was putting her through, and I didn’t deserve her love... but she never quit fighting for me. Although the beat of the song is energetic and fun, it brought me to an honest point in my life and helped me translate my emotions. ‘Hell To Heart means sometimes you have to go through the pain to get to the love.”
Assisting Freedom in the songwriting, Dean “BoyLord” Tepper (producer behind Tinashe’s critically acclaimed “Nightride” short film) also brought his dynamic and intricate production to the track.
BoyLord on the song:
“The second June started laying the ‘I don’t deserve your love’ harmonies, my brain went wild.
June’s Cape Verdean influences really sets him apart as an artist. He comes up with some of the most versatile and unique melodies in the game... I can never predict what we’re about to make when we get into the studio.”
Hell to Heart serves as the first official release from Flight Club Music Group.
June’s official debut single, which will be released under the newly formed partnership between Flight Club Music Group and KonLive Distribution, is slated for early 2019.
