Born to a Jamaican mother and Haitian father, Major had his roots embedded in him at a very young age. Major writes about the life he lived growing up in Rockland, N.Y. A town off the New York State thruway, and from his viewpoint its Rockland that helped mold him to become who he is today; from a few menacing life lessons. From there the way out is typical to everyone with a New York state of mind. Major began songwriting at the age of 15.
Being a student to the game, he grew up listening to artists; Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z, Scarface, Nas and The L.O.X. With success from his mixtape 'Let’s Talk Money' where he collaborated with his comrade, Emperor Chi, Major has made many appearances including; Hot 97 “Drama Hour” with DJ Kay Slay, he was featured on DJ Khaled and DJ L’s mixtape 'We taking Over' Pt 2., also opening performances for rap artist Jim Jones, Vado, R&B artist Bobby Valentino and many more. Major gradually established himself as Ryde Out Records “Top Gunner”.
Now he's back with homage to the late, great Prodigy of Mobb Deep! Check out the video below.
