Nas Flows Differently On Al Jarreau-Inspired "Jarreau Of Rap" Jazzy Song

Nas is back and we are closer to getting "The Lost Tapes 2" with "Jarreau Of Rap"!!!

(AllHipHop Music) For those that don't know, Nas comes from a Jazz background and it may be as fundamental to his musicality as Hip-Hop. His dad was a jazz man and the QB rapper is on the Mount Rushmore of Golden Era Rap.Now, Nas collaborates with the late, great Al Jarreau, who died in 2017. The song is a departure from the norm for Nas who has been criticized for not changing up his flow. So, here we are. Check out "Jarreau Of Rap".

More than a decade and a half after the 2002 release of the original volume of The Lost Tapes, Nas returns with the highly-anticipated follow up The Lost Tapes 2*, available on 7/19. The project consists of unreleased tracks from Nas’s previously released studio albums - Hip-Hop is Dead (2006), Untitled*(2008) and* Life is Good* (2012).

Produced by Xharlie Black, "Jarreau of Rap (Skatt Attack)” is a quick-fire track with strong jazz influences featuring the late Al Jarreau & Grammy Award–winning trumpeter Keyon Harrold, reminding fans of Nas’s undisputed place at the top.
