Poppa Da Don- 'Cita Son'

Poppa Da Don dropped his highly-anticipated EP.

(AllHipHop Music) Poppa Da Don is a tenacious songwriter building a reputation rooted in his innate ability to translate his experiences into gritty street anthems. The Brooklyn-based rapper is winning over new audiences with each release.

Born and raised in Brownsville, the 24-year-old has a commanding presence that demands respect while cultivating an audience that is drawn to his authenticity and drive.

In 2017, his reach grew tenfold, releasing a remix of 6ix9ine's viral song "GUMMO," titled "GUMMO CRIPPY." The song quickly reached over a million views upon release, even catching the attention of Nipsey Hussle, who soon reached out to the rapper to shoot the music video for "Rap N---as;" a song that appeared on Nipsey's Grammy-nominated album 'Victory Lap'.

In June 2018, he released 'Fucc Wit Da Cuz'. Notably, the project also featured his first collaboration with Dave East ("Crip Shit"), further solidifying how New York is recognizing the Brooklyn upstart's efforts and showing love back. Word of his buzz made it to the ears of Philadelphia's own, Meek Mill, who even offered his co-sign and played Poppa Da Don's track "Smoked" (featuring Abillyon) on the radio.

Eager to keep pushing forward, Poppa Da Don released a follow-up mixtape in August 2018, 'Fucc Wit Da Cuz 2', which boasted appearances from the likes of Arsonal, Dat Man Rell, Mike Milly, Billy B, Jay Gwaupo, Fetty Lucciano and more.

With his sights set on establishing himself as a household name, Poppa Da Don dropped his anticipated EP, 'Cita Son', via DNR Music Group / Asylum Records.
