Legendary rapper Twista is BACK with his Motown and Michael Jackson-inspired newly released song “Tonite.” The song brings back memories from the 1980s combined with the eccentric sound of the 2000s. The rapper explained in a recent interview how “Tonite” is actually a different kind of sound than he is normally known to release. “I’m known to do a fast lyrical cadence, so any time I find a beat that I can pop a different type of flow to, then I love it,” Twista says.
“Tonite” is just a taste of what Twista has in store for us for 2019, as his Class of 96 tour will be kicking off in March and April with fellow platinum rappers Do or Die, gold recording artist Crucial Conflict, plus PsychoDrama and Shawnna. Twista explained that the headliners for this tour are “...on one level, all of the homies...on another level, it’s a lot of the artists from the West Side of Chicago.” So while you are waiting for those front row tickets to this iconic tour, enjoy “Tonite” for a exciting taste of what's to come.
