21 Savage Makes Bond, Thanks Fans And Prepares To Battle ICE

The rap star has finally been freed after 9 days in an ice prison.

(AllHipHop News) Rap star 21 Savage is a free man.

Lawyers for the rapper were able to get him bonded out of a federal ICE detention Center in Atlanta earlier today.

21 Savage has been detained since February 3, when he was arrested during a traffic stop.

ICE immigration officials detained the rap star, and claimed he was a British national who was living in the country illegally, after is Visa expired in 2005.

21 Savage issued a statement and thanked his fans for their support.

"21 Savage asked us to send a special message to his fans and supporters -- he says that while he wasn't present at the Grammy Awards, he was there in spirit and is grateful for the support from around the world and is more than ever, ready to be with his loved ones and continue making music that brings people together."

“He will not forget this ordeal or any of the other fathers, sons, family members, and faceless people, he was locked up with or that remain unjustly incarcerated across the country. And he asks for your hearts and minds to be with them.”

During the ordeal, a variety of rappers came out to support, including Cardi B, Offset, Vince Staples, Metro Boomin and Jay-Z who hired the rap star's lawyers.

Earlier today, many more artists came out in support of 21 Savage after an official #Free21Savage petition dropped to free the rapper, which quickly garnered 450,000 signatures.
