50 Cent Responds To Blowback For New 'Power' Theme Song Recorded By Trey Songz

"Y’all better STOP this bullsh*t right now."

(AllHipHop News) Power returned for season 6 on Sunday, but some fans of the show were not pleased with the crime drama's opening. Instead of hearing the now-classic "Big Rich Town" featuring Joe, viewers were introduced to a new version recorded by Trey Songz and A Boogie wit da Hoodie.

Twitter users immediately slammed the remix, and many critics called on Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson to bring back the original tune. The Power executive producer responded to the negative reviews on his Instagram page.

"Damn it man 🤔y’all just wanta f*ck with me today, talking bout put my song back or I’m a f*ck you up 50 🤨chill out alright, did you like the episode? #lecheminduroi #TheKing🍾 #bransoncognac," wrote 50 Cent in the IG caption.

Jackson also addressed the issue in a video posted on Twitter. He said, "These motherf*ckers talking about Trey Songz. You ain't bought a motherf*cking Joe CD in years, now you talking about Trey Songz. Trey did that sh*t as a favor for me. Y'all keep this sh*t up... F*ck it, I'm gonna have to put that motherf*cker back the way it was [laughs]."

Power airs Sundays on Starz at 8 pm ET. The Courtney A. Kemp-created television show's cast includes Omari Hardwick, Naturi Naughton, Joseph Sikora, Lela Loren, Michael Rainey Jr., La La Anthony, Rotimi Akinosho, Jerry Ferrara, and Larenz Tate.

"We sho'nuff taken over a star-studded season six. The final betrayal. Understand this y'all. Y'all gonna be upset. Yes, I might be talking reckless to y'all mama... All that," Tate recently told AllHipHop. "But at the end of the day, you will be pleased with the twists and turns. It's amazing. I want to say thank you to the Power fans, the Power family... You won't be disappointed."
