Chicago native Dayvon “King Von” Bennett, 26, passed away less than a week ago after being gunned down in Atlanta. Timothy Leeks was arrested and charged with felony murder. Georgia-raised rhymer Quando Rondo was said to be involved with the dispute outside a nightclub that left Bennett dead.
Since his murder on November 6, several Hip Hop stars appeared to weigh in on the shooting that took King Von’s life, even though there is no evidence they were directly involved in the situation. For example, Tip “T.I.” Harris seemed to express his thoughts on the matter with an Instagram statement on Monday.
The self-proclaimed King of the South posted, “Atlanta is a beautiful progressive city filled with Black excellence. We uplift each other and win together. Stop coming here to kill each other. That s### is played out.” The caption read, “Handle YOUR beefs in YOUR city. Thx in advance. – King.”

Some people took issue with T.I.’s comments. King Von’s sister, Kayla B, responded to what the Urban Legend album creator had to say, even though he did not mention anyone by name.
“Wasn’t u just [with] other b###### at Copper Cove. I stay seeing [you] cheating mind your business @troubleman31,” wrote Kayla on her Instagram Story. She added, “And these [are] FACTS! But the energy he [always] putting in [people] business [needs] to be the same energy he [needs] to make it right [with] his daughter!!!!! Now [where] is my brother @50cent get on his ass!”
50 Cent answered Kayla’s IG mention by calling out Tip. On his own Instagram page, the G-Unit leader stated, “A @troubleman31 you gotta chill, you bugging for saying anything. They got casualties this is real s###, I don’t know what you was thinking but [rethink] it now. They are hurting, they love that boy he was a way out. I bet you don’t even realize they will kill you for what you just said. What hood you from again? Come on now it’s quiet time.”

Prior to 50 calling out the Grand Hustle co-founder, T.I. had already provided clarification to his previous demand that non-ATL individuals stop committing violence in his hometown. Tip returned to Instagram with another message.
“I don’t speak ill of my allies. My last post had nothing to do with King Von. Y’all grossly mistaken, I have no motive or intention to do harm or malice to cats I’m cool [with]. My family’s hearts [go] out to them and I’ve expressed this to the people in his life that matter most in this situation. That’s all I’m concerned with,” T.I. wrote. He captioned the post with, “But I know IG ain’t da place for understanding and miserable people love to keep up s###. Be Eazy.”
Earlier this year, 50 Cent and T.I. went back-and-forth on social media following Tip challenging Fiddy to a Verzuz battle. That exchange led to both Hip Hop legends accusing the other of being a snitch for law enforcement. In contrast to the feuding, Jackson and Harris are also reportedly working together to produce the drama series Twenty Four Seven for CBS All Access.
