6ix9ine's Former Gang Buddy Says The Rapper Faked His Kidnapping To Get A Buzz

A former Nine Trey Gangsta Blood is saying the rapper is a phony who pulled a "Jussie Smollett."

(AllHipHop News) One of the guys accused of kidnapping Tekashi 6ix9ine is using an interesting defense, by claiming the rap star is nothing more than a big fraud.

Anthony Ellison and Aljermiah Mack are accused of kidnapping the rapper, beating him and driving him around Brooklyn.

Ellison then took 6ix9ine to his apartment, where he allegedly stole $750,000 in jewelry and $15,000 in cash.

During a hearing today, Ellison's lawyer said the whole thing was a hoax to promote 6ix9ine's old hardcore, tough guy image as a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

"No robbery or kidnapping or assault happened. He was about to drop another album…gotta get that buzz up. That’s how he makes money," said Devereaux Cannick.

Ellison and Mack have pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy, robbery and carrying a firearm to commit a crime.

Earlier this week, 6ix9ine's former "bodyguard" was sent to prison for five years after he was shot in the stomach by a security guard at Philippe Chow during a tussle involving the rapper and his entourage.

Almost a dozen of Tekashi 6ix9ine's associates have been sentenced to jail, or accepted plea agreements after they were hit with RICO charges by the feds.

6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, agreed to cooperate with the feds in return for a lighter sentence and accoridng to reports, he could be sprung from prison before the end of 2019.
