(AllHipHop News) Lawyers for rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine are going to make a bid for the rapper's freedom during a court appearance next week.
6ix9ine's lawyers are going to file a motion in the next week, by offering up $1.5 million bail package to the court.
His attorney argues the rap star should be freed, because he is not a flight risk, nor is he a danger to the community.
While it is doubtful the judge would rule the internationally known rap star a flight risk, he may encounter some difficulties arguing he is not a danger to the community.
6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, his ex-manager Kifano "Shotti" Jordan, and associates Faheem "Crippy" Walter, Jamel "Mel Murda" Jones, Jensel "Ish" Butler, and Fuguan "Fu Banga" Lovick were arrested in November.
Each one of the men are facing eight counts of racketeering for multiple shootings, robberies, and assaults against their rivals and other Nine Trey members.
They are also accused of conspiring in an attempt to murder someone, while allegedly helping the gang to peddle heroin, fentanyl, MDMA, marijuana and other drugs around Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx.
6ix9ine is facing life in prison, over the charges, which date back to 2013. He has pleaded not guilty to federal racketeering charges.
The rap star's next court date is in late January, but he could be released before then if a judge agrees with his lawyer.
If not, the rap star will languish behind bars until his trial in September of 2019.
