The party may be coming to an end, but that didn't stop the infamous and historical Los Angeles radio station KDAY from having their annual Krush Groove concert this past weekend. The "Back in the Day" Hip-Hop station has been in the news as of late due to reports stating that the station is being sold within the next 90 days to a group that will change it's format to an all Mandarin Chinese format. Despite that news, spirits were still high by the radio station employees that we spoke to and it certainly didn't feel like the station's very last show. Local native Glasses Malone opened the show while West Coast legends like Mack 10, Too $hort, MC Eiht, Warren G, Xzibit, The Dogg Pound and DJ Quik all performed their classic hits with the highlight being Raphael Saadiq joining Quik on stage for a rare live performance of their jam, "Let's Get Down." A united Bone Thugs-N-Harmony closed the show and brought out Game to perform "Celebration" to put an exclamation point on the night. AllHipHop.com came out once again for Krush Groove as we have been doing for the past few years. If this is indeed the end, we would like to thank the good people at 93.5 KDAY for letting us continually partner with them to cover their events. Check out our exclusive coverage below!
