A$AP Bari Detained In U.K. Over 2017 Rape Allegations

Cops in the U.K. named the A$AP Mob co-founder during a layover in London.

(AllHipHop News) A member of the popular A$AP collective is behind bars, facing some serious charges in the U.K.

Founding A$AP Mob group member A$AP Bari is accused of a sexual assault that allegedly occurred last July in a hotel in London.

Bari had a layover from a flight in the city earlier this week, and police were waiting for the rapper when he arrived at Heathrow Airport.

According to reports, Bari has been released from jail but his passport has been confiscated so he cannot leave the U.K.

In December of 2017, the woman filed a $1 million lawsuit against A$AP Bari, claiming he forced her to have oral sex and filmed it, before he allegedly threw her out into a hallway of a hotel, naked.

“A misleading video clip featuring adult content and activity has been released to the public without my knowledge or consent,” Bari said in a statement. “Comments about myself or anyone being detained or arrested are false. We have resolved this issue amicably among all parties as adults. We were friends before this and will remain friends afterwards. Being raised by strong women who taught me to respect everyone, I’m disappointed in the situation as well as myself and will reflect on the situation appropriately.”
