A$AP Bari Pleads Guilty To Sexually Assaulting A Woman In London

The VLONE co-founder originally denied the allegations.

(AllHipHop News) The A$AP Mob is waking up to some bad news this morning. According to multiple reports, A$AP Bari pled guilty to one count of sexual assault in the United Kingdom.

Bari (born Jabari Shelton) was accused of violating an unidentified nude woman in 2017. The incident supposedly took place at The Curtain hotel in London.

The alleged victim did not initially press charges, but she later made a formal complaint when footage began spreading online days later. Bari first stated the video was fake before claiming the clip was released to the public without his knowledge or consent.

"Comments about myself or anyone being detained or arrested are false. We have resolved this issue amicably among all parties as adults. We were friends before this and will remain friends afterwards," read a 2017 statement from the New York native. "Being raised by strong women who taught me to respect everyone, I’m disappointed in the situation as well as myself and will reflect on the situation appropriately."

The accuser also sued Shelton for $1 million. He then reportedly filed a counter-suit for defamation and civil extortion. His legal documents accused "Jane Doe" of only making the sexual assault allegations after she obtained counsel.

Besides being a founding member of the A$AP Mob, Bari is also the head of the popular street clothing label VLONE. Nike terminated its relationship with the brand following the sexual misconduct accusations.

Last September, Kanye West publicly defended Shelton. The G.O.O.D Music founder posted, "Bari challenged me when no one else did and when he got in trouble I was scared to say he was my friend just like I did with xxx and that was some p*ssy sh*t on my part. I let the perception and the robots control me."
