(AllHipHop News) According to multiple reports, Rakim Mayers (aka A$AP Rocky) and members of his entourage were found guilty of assault in Sweden on Wednesday. The Harlem-bred rapper will not have to serve more jail time under the conditional sentence ruling.
Last month, Mayers, Bladimir Corniel, and David Rispers were arrested after getting into a street fight with 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari on June 30. All three co-defendants pleaded not guilty and argued they were acting in self-defense.
Rocky returned to the United States on August 2 following his release from custody in the European country. Throughout the ordeal, the 30-year-old entertainer earned support from several high-profile Americans including President Donald Trump.
Trump tweeted he was disappointed that Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven did not act on behalf of Rocky. Löfven rebuffed Trump's requests for him to intervene. The President also sent Ambassador Robert O’Brien as a special envoy to Stockholm to monitor the trial.
