Rocky has been giving off signs that he's currently in LP roll-out mode. The Harlem emcee was a recent guest on Peter Rosenberg's Open Late talk show and he's featured in the latest cover story for Complex.
“I need to circle back and show ‘em this is where it started. This is the origin of my legacy, and why I really do this sh-t," stated Rocky in the interview. The 29-year-old fashion maven also discussed linking with Kanye West and Tyler, The Creator.
“Everybody has different strategy and sh-t like that. Crazy, different tactics. Ye is sample and soulful driven. You feel that sh-t. It won’t even have chord progression or drums on it… and you’re just like damn," said Rocky.
He added, "Tyler gives you Neptunes meets f-cking I don’t know what. Tyler is so ill, but he plays too goddamn much. He’ll make a beat and see if you like it. If you go too crazy, then he’ll be like, 'Nah, let’s do another.' I’m like, 'Bro, stop f-cking playing with me!'”
Testing will arrive three years after the At. Long. Last. ASAP album. Rocky has already let loose the singles "Bad Company" featuring BlocBoy JB and "ASAP Forever" featuring Moby.
