(AllHipHop News) A$AP Rocky's detainment could turn into a political war, over claims Swedish authorities are violating the rap star's human rights.
According to reports, A$AP Rocky is being held in terrible, unsanitary conditions, as they investigate claims he assaulted a man during a brawl in Stockholm on June 30.
On Friday (July 5), a judge ruled A$AP Rocky was flight risk and ordered him jailed for two weeks, as they investigate the fight.
Now, insiders claim Swedish officials have violated the Vienna Convention for Consular Relations.
The treaty enables foreigners detained in Sweden to immediately see an official from the U.S. Consulate.
But the cops denied the representative access when they arrived at the detention center to visit A$AP Rocky.
A$AP Rocky was allowed to see them two days later but in the presence and earshot of two Swedish guards. The source called the behavior of the Swedish authorities "a clear intimidation tactic."
The rapper is being held for two weeks while authorities decide whether or not he should be charged for the offense.
